Little Rock will probably be remembered by many as the capital of President Clinton's home state. Yet, before this "claim to fame", Little Rock attracted visitors to its wonderful setting on the banks of the Arkansas River, surrounded by the Quachita Mountains. The city boasts over 50 parks and is only a short drive from Hot Springs National Park, renowned for its hot mineral springs. With an abundance of lakes and the River, the Little Rock area is a water sports paradise. It's easy to see why Arkansas is called "The Natural State".

Little Rock City Guide
Once an unassuming town, Little Rock became well known with the election of President William J. Clinton in 1992. President Clinton made his home in this capital city from the 1970s until he moved to Washington DC in 1992.
Located in the center of the state, Little Rock offers visitors plenty of things to see and do. Historical sites and museums such as the Historic Arkansas Museum and The old Mill are easy to find in Little Rock, as are parks and nature areas, where visitors can enjoy the lush Arkansas scenery. Family friendly attractions include water parks, a zoo, science centers and more. When it’s time for dinner, you have many options, ranging from fine dining to down-home cooking.
Little Rock enjoys a fairly mild climate and four distinct seasons. Summers tend to be warm and humid, but plenty of shade trees and air-conditioned buildings offer a respite from the heat. Mild winters bring cool temperatures, but usually only a few inches of snowfall.
Whether you visit Little Rock specifically to tour the William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Library and Museum or to take in the many other sites, you’ll be glad you did and we can help.
